Trade Team, a division of Colonna’s Shipyard is seeking a solid experienced Recruiter to aid in the staffing operations supporting internal and external clients in a high volume, professional environment.






  • Identify vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants
  • Receive and screen submitted applications. Forward the most suitable candidates to client representatitives
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job descriptions and job qualifications
  • Sources applicants on multiple different search engines and make cold calls on a daily basis
  • Builds a pipeline for existing and future orders 
  • Conduct phone screenings for candidates and schedule face-to-face interviews
  • Attend off site meetings, job fairs, and other recruitment fairs
  • vast use of and mastery required for internal applicant tracking system
  • Post all direct hire positions through the applicant tracking software and other job boards
  • Set up pre-employment regulations
  • Conduct background checks, as required
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Maintain recruiting Affirmative Action Plan information and run reports
  • Process all recruitment requests in a timely manner
  • Work independently and in a close-knit team environment to complete responsibilities
  • Other duties may be assigned, as workload dictates



  • Minimum of 3-5 years' of experience directly related to recruiting skilled trades
  • Knowledge of federal human resources laws, regulations, programs, policies, and practices is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Ability to interact and communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds and education levels
  • Must be results driven
  • Professionalism is a must
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and information-driven databases
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance
