    Colonna's Shipyard is looking to obtain experienced candidates within our Recruiting Department.


    We are pleased to accept resumes for Skilled Trades Recruiter.


    This is a full-time position with competitive pay, based on experience, and immediate work within our headquarters in Norfolk, VA.

    Responsibilities

    • Consistent project management with high volume time-sensitive needs influencing company performance. This requires timely and efficient process movement for testing, interviews, offer and Orientation processing.

    • Execute efficient sourcing processes to attract and maintain passive/active applicants through various resources including web-based applications, cold-calling, networking, referrals, and recruiting events.

    • Maintain and communicate reporting metrics to all levels of management, including Affirmative Action Plan, ATS, and company guidelines.

    • Prepare for and participate in recruitment events, community outreach and industry events, mostly local travel.

    • Act as main point of contact with preferred temp agencies including making decisions on agency usage and management of process.

    • Review and confirm accuracy of applicant tracking system, iCIMS.

    • Aid with recruitment marketing efforts as directed by Recruiting Manager.

    • Provide valued solutions to improve company procedures and guidelines, as needed.

    • Work independently and act as lead to Recruiting Assistant in the absence of the Recruiting Manager

    • Reports to Recruiting Manager

    • Ideal candidate possesses: proven success with process management, relationship building, teamwork within small projects, large contributor on consistent time-sensitive projects, and partnering on long term projects. Top candidates must have strong communication and technical skills, as well as a positive attitude and reliable attendance.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to recruiting

    • Knowledge of federal human resources laws, regulations, programs, policies, and practices is preferred

    • Previous experience with maritime trades and their responsibilities

    • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written

    • Ability to interact and communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds and education levels

    • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office and web-based database systems

    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and with a positive attitude

    • Other duties may be assigned as workload dictates
