Colonna's Shipyard Management Trainee position is a Professional Development Program designed for Post-Graduate Professionals to discover a variety of career options within the maritime and shiprepair industry with Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc., Colonna Down River and Steel America.
Selected candidates will learn a broad understanding of Colonna’s Shipyard and Down River’s primary business of ship repair, as well as, Steel America’s heavy industrial fabrication and repair. In order to accomplish this, each selected candidate will receive extensive training in all aspects of our business, by spending time in various departments and working on actual projects. Our program develops your skills and identifies your strengths, which will establish the right path for you to excel within the company upon completion.
As a Management Trainee, you will need technology skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoy interacting with lots of different personalities. The trainees who successfully graduate from our program are self-motivated, have a strong work ethic and like new challenges.
Position compensation is based on experience.
